I had not used the device for several months at my summer house. It is attached with a USB and my laptop operating system is Wndows 7. The copier and printer are working, and I can print from the laptop, but the scanner is not functioning. When I press scanner, the screen says Processing, please wait momentarily, and then it just stops, with no other error message.

I recently bought a Pixma MG 3020 to use as a cloud printer with my new Acer Chromebook. All is well and I have been printing happily. However, today I wanted to scan a document and have spent the last 3 hours trying to find out how to do so! I am ready to pull my hair out

My wife & I have been using the Canon PMX 922 for several years with no real problems except for an occasiional paperjam.
Recently my wife was using the printer and all of a sudden she got a message on the display showing Support Code 6000
We have followed the instructions of turning off the unit and unpluging it, we have done this several times, but the message and Support Code keeps showing.
The operating system is a Mac OS 10.12.6 with a Mac Mini (mid 2010) PMX922 is connected via an Earthenet cable to the
Mac. The PMX922 Firmware is upto date as are the drivers.

On my MX922, I need to print a 5x7 inch envelope from the BOTTOM tray. I understand for a 5" x 7" the printer will auto select the top tray, but it jams constantly. Is there a work around to print from the bottom tray?

My Canon MP520, which I already have for quite a few years, suddenly does not print anything.
It does all the noises and movements as if it were printing, but only blank pages come out.
The computer nor the printer driver are the problem, because when I do a copy on the printer itself, the printer is trying, but again, no ink comes out. The nozzle check test page also comes out empty.
It appears that all nozzles are blocked at the same time.
However, last time I printed was approximately three weeks ago - but it has been idle for longer times and never had any issues.
I have done normal cleaning (I see the ink levels dropping in the printer status window) and I have done deep cleaning (the ink levels dropped some more), so ink actually can come out.
It hasn't been ridiculously hot, dry or cold lately.
What could have happened? I love this printer; does anyone have any tips to make it print again?

My Canon Pixma MG5420 won't print (or scan, or copy) anymore because it insists "The cover is open." No, it's not, and I've cleaned all areas that I think might be sensors.
I've googled the heck out of this, and all I found were messages about OTHER Pixma printers having a second cover. I've examined the lone drawing pointing to a cover in the vicinity of the ink cartridges, but I can't find anything similar in MY printer.
If there's a second cover on my printer, I don't know where it is (and I don't not appreciate the ambiguous error message) (and it annoys me that the printer won't function when all I want to do is copy or scan, in which case, that cover isn't involved) (likewise, it's irritating that it won't scan or copy when one ink cartridge is out; that has nothing to do with scanning or copying! I shouldn't be notified of this unless I attempt to print, and should be allowed to scan or copy since tthose things don't require ink!).

I am a proffessional photographer and recently bouight a CP900 Selphy. I am not doubting the quality of the prints but I am having AWFUL trouble printing from my HP laptop directly to the printer. I used a temp fix whereby I "fooled" the driver to think the laptop was Windows 7 and that worked fine for a few months but since a major upgrade to Win10 it will not work AT ALL.
Canon, can you PLEASE answer the many questions about supplying drivers that are up to date for Win8 onwards (I am Win10). I don't get what the problem is? You have sold a large number of Selphy printers but not updated their drivers. Why not? 90% of laptops sold now are Win10 and unless you're trying to kill off the Selphy then please udate the drivers. I mean, it is not as though you cannot buy a Selphy brand new....you can...so shy are you fleecing your customers?
Unless drivers and compatibility issues for Win8 onwards (Win 10 especially) are solved I will look into the legal issues surrounding selling a product that is not able to do its job as described...here in Ireland we have the "Sale Of Goods Act " that covers precisely that.
You are being asked very politely to solve this issue so please do it ASAP and no excuses. I own a fair bit of Canon equipment in my studio from cameras and lenses to software to printers and I thought I'd try the Selphy to do keyrings for fun so please don;t make me regret it.

I've printed the Network Configuration Page from my IP7220, and it has confirmed it is connected to my Wifi Network. I checked my router and it shows the MAC of the printer connected.
However, on the printer network configuration print-out it clearly shows there's no IP listed under IPv4 or IPv6 no, no default gateways, and no subnet masks.
No problems at all with my wifi including another (HP) printer wirelessly connected, so this is my IP7220 with issues.

Hi, I have a Selphy CP910. Just set it up successfully, HOWEVER....I keep getting PAPER JAM ERROR. I put in only 5 sheets of photo paper and a brand new ink cart, but it looks and sounds like its gonna print, but EVERY TIME Paper Jam comes on LED screen. The paper tray is inserted the ONLY way it can be. Even though not even ONE pic has printed, I had to change the ink cart already. Help, I don't get it and of course tech support is closed. Wanted to take this with on Vacation tomorrow. Can anyone please advise What The Heck this probem could be? Thanx

My laptop is not recognising my printers Usb cable when I prug it in to print, I'm using windows 8.1 and I don't know if my driver is outdated or not, please can someone give me advice on what to do. I really need to print a few important documents.
Every other line is printing blurry with what appears double text.
I have tried cleaning and alligning the print head.
Could someone help with this problem.

Hi. I have a Pixma 495MX. It appears to be only printing from the colour cartridge. Both colour and black cartridges are full and I have reloaded the drivers and reconnected to my wifi. The cartridges are inserted correctly and I have cleaned the nozzles. The setting is to print from colour and black cartridges. I have been trying to print an excel spreadsheet but it only prints that table borders and not the contents.
I have spent hours trying to resolve this one and am now out of ideas. Can anyone help?! Paul
How do I get my new router to recognize my wireless printer that was already installed on PC with Windows 10? Do I have to reinstall the software that came with it?
Any time I print a photo on its own, the colors are wrong, almost like it's missing black or something. It looks very faded. But if I insert the same exact photo into a Word document and print that file, it prints it just right. What do I need to change in order for it to print normally when I just print a photo on its own? The settings all seem to be the same, but printing a PNG makes weird colors while printing a DOC of the same photo prints it correctly.
I'm getting horizontal banding on my b&w prints - especially noticeable in the black areas. I have already done about 5 nozzel checks and cleaning and 1 deep clean. Also switched the black carts. Those actions improved it a little but still can see slight banding in the blacks. Any additional actions I have not thought of would be appeciated.
Using a PIXMA ip8720 with 3rd party inks (the PGI-250 XL is pigment) and CANON Premium Matte paper 13x19. Also using the 'plain paper'/GRAYSCALE setting to eliminate all traces of color tints. I know the PGI-250 XL/'plain paper setting is normally used to print text but this is the only setting I'm using that does not produce green/magenta/cyan color tints on b&w prints. The prints are high contrast and a tad harsh but I like that look for what I'm printing right now.
I have an MG3620. My husband's computer is wired directly into it and it prints fine. My laptop doesn't even see it as being there, at all. It recognised our old one, but we had to have it replaced through customer service and now my laptop can't print because of this. Help!
Hi- I am scanning a picture that is larger than the platen, so I am stitching it together. It asks me to choose the 'output size' and gives me 4 options to choose from....but I have NO clue as to what the terms even mean! I have searched everywhere, so if someone can tell me what they mean, I would be very grateful! The options are: A3 (A4 x 2), B4 (B5 X 2), 11 X 17 (Letter x 2), and Full Platen x 2.
