I have a mac osx operating system. When I plug in my Canon MG 3520, the only light that comes on is the 4x6 photo paper. When I press the power button, it'll turn on, but when I hold it down to turn off it won't turn off. So pretty much my printer freezes and doesnt respond to me even resetting it...if I hold down the stop button nothing flashes or anything. The printer was working fine last use.

Squiggly lines and blurred text Pixma MG6450
If I print photos - fine
Any text document the output is erratic. Lines in tables are herringbone, text is blurred and hard to read.
Unless I change the settings to use 'HIGH DEFINITION PAPER.' Then the output is perfect. I have tried different quality paper and that makes no difference, the output is rubish if the setting is set to 'NORMAL PAPER.'
As soon as I change the setting to HD paper, it's great. I know I could use it in HD, but I'm about to start my Masters and don't fance the time delay in printing for my dissertation! 
Can anyone shed any light please?

Printing TRUE Greyscale (grayscale) on my IP8700

I have a Pixma IP8700 and I use it to print photos. I am working with some old black & white photos at the moment and would like to force the printer to printer using only the Black (BK) & Grey(GY) (dye) inks so I can see what a print looks like without the cyan, yellow & magenta dots all over it.
How can I do this? I am using both Windows 10 & OS X Yosemite...
PS I can see online how to force the printer to use the black pigment ink only (by setting the paper to plain), but this is not what I want as printing with the pigment only (PGBK) is very coarse.

Canon SELPHY CP1200
Hi,
I have a Canon SELPHY CP 1200 and it keeps reading "Paper Jam". The printer takes the paper in like it is going to print but does not come back out and says "Paper Jam". I've taken paper out like 8 times and restarted my printer but nothing works.
Can someone advise me what to do. Idk if there is a warranty on it, it was a gift![Smiley Sad]( "Smiley Sad")

Canon Pixma MX860, B200 error; nothing fixes it so far
I've tried (1) forcing the printhead to the left and forcing the lid closed as it passes the halfway mark. I've tried (2) pushing the on/copy/print/scan/memory buttons multiple times as I turn on. And I've tried replacing the printhead. The B200 error message just won't go away. Is there anything new on the horizon I can try? I will try Canon Support tomorrow, but am not particularly optimistic, based on what I read here.

iX6820 - Is it possible to print BLACK when the color ink is empty?
My color cartridges are out but my black pigment is totally full and I can't get it to print in black only.
I tried selecting "print in greyscale" but nothing happens. There's a flashing yellow button on the printer that doesn't allow me to proceed.
Is this possible at all?

Canon IP7250 and heavy weight papers?
I'm considering the IP7250 to generate test prints on fine art papers before sending my files to a pro lab for large print work. I don't know if this printer can mechanically handle 200-300 gram paper. Any experience of thoughts?

Pixma 4200 stopped printing black
Hello,
I have a problem, with a very old (but still good in my opinion) Canon printer, IP4200. Recently it has stopped to print black. I've tried "cleaning" and "deep cleaning" options from the printer properties, but it didn't solved the issue. All other colours from the pattern are visible, just the PGBK isn't. I've also tried to clean the printhead with alcohol, but without any success.
Any advice?

Printing image to size
Yesterday everything was fine. Today it will print any size I like except the one I need.
The image was sized in my image program. I then cropped the image into two sections (same as yesterday) and printed. Again and again and again and it's pretty much the same thing over again.
I need a 7 inch length print of the first part and it keeps giving me 7.5"
I resize and save the image. 7.5"
Crop the same as yesterdays image. 8.5"
Change the paper size. 6.5/8", 7.5 and 8.5
My image viewer shows actual size of image. Cropping gives me the size I need for printing
I size to fit page. Doesn't work. Default doesn't work. Changing paper size doesn't work
Printed about 20 times already and nothing is working. It has to match the image printed yesterday as it's a top and side view to be transfered to a block of wood for cutting out
Other choice is take it to a printer and have them print it out for me as I'm just wasting ink andf Canon ink isn't cheap

IP address not being assigned | ip7220 problem
Hi all,
Much appreciate you reading and helping.
I've printed the Network Configuration Page from my IP7220, and it has confirmed it is connected to my Wifi Network. I checked my router and it shows the MAC of the printer connected.
However, on the printer network configuration print-out it clearly shows there's no IP listed under IPv4 or IPv6 no, no default gateways, and no subnet masks.
No problems at all with my wifi including another (HP) printer wirelessly connected, so this is my IP7220 with issues.

Selph CP910 paper jams ALWAYS HELP PLEASE
Hi, I have a Selphy CP910. Just set it up successfully, HOWEVER....I keep getting PAPER JAM ERROR. I put in only 5 sheets of photo paper and a brand new ink cart, but it looks and sounds like its gonna print, but EVERY TIME Paper Jam comes on LED screen. The paper tray is inserted the ONLY way it can be. Even though not even ONE pic has printed, I had to change the ink cart already. Help, I don't get it and of course tech support is closed. Wanted to take this with on Vacation tomorrow. Can anyone please advise What The Heck this probem could be? Thanx

Pinter takes 15 min. to print
Lately I have been having trouble with file access for some applications. For instance Windows Explorer takes a very very long time to boot and show me files.
This problem seems to have affected my printer, which now takes 15 minutes to print a single page. It just sits pending for that time, then says printing for several minutes, then out comes the print.
My hard drives are only half full.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Papilio waterslide paper setting
My ix6820 is fairly new, as I had to replace my wonderful old Pixma Pro 9000 since Canon was no longer updating the drivers for it and I got a new iMac. So I am not very familiar with it yet. I also just bought some Papilio white waterslide decal paper for inkjets that I've not worked with before either. The directions say to use the glossy photo paper setting on high. But every time I try a different combo of settings I get splotchy images as a result (especially in the orange color in the design) and am wasting this expensive paper!
Interestingly, the best setting I've found so far is "t-shirt transfer paper" but it automatically flips the images. It's still not perfect, but much better. How do I replicate those settings without the automatic flipping?
Does anyone have experience with Papilio paper or have any suggestions to other (hidden?) settings I can adjust? Thank you!

Canon ix4000
Hello, just found this community and hope you can help.
I have a canon ix4000 that I intend to use for printing scanned 35 mm neg film onto canon paper, but the problem that I'm having is to 'fit' the print onto the paper without 'excessive' borders. For example if I designate a 6" x 4" paper, the print comes out in the preview with a border of more than an inch all round and it's the same with any other size.
I can 'fool' the printer by juggling around with the size I opt for, but it's not an ideal situation.
I use Windows 10 PC with Ability Office Photopaint and just currently downloaded Canon easy photoprint, that I can print from without problems to full page with no borders. If I designate borders, I do get a border, but one border is wider than the other!

Identify Driver Version
Hello to all
I have a Canon Pixma MG8250
Can anyone tell me where I can find the driver version installed for my printer.
Also I have found there are two new Drivers available for this printer (If I don't already have them) but no real details on "whether or not" I acctually "Need" to install them.
I've had no problems with this printer at all so far.

pixima 8720 printer, matte paper
Hello I recently got this printer so far I like it although when I print on matt paper the colours are a little washed out anything I can do about it other than adjusting my colours in the designs?
I haven't downloaded any drivers other or anything since setting it up
