Pixma IX6820

I bought a PIXMA IX6820 about 5 months ago, and recently started getting lines in my colored prints that were unavoidable. I did everything I could, including using all the utility options. Because none of those worked, I decided to follow instructions on this forum of how to clean this printhead, and I think the directions may have caused me to break the printer, but I am unsure. I have been on hold for over an hour now trying to get some assistance or maybe some credit for this new printer, but no luck. If there is anyone who knows how I can better get in contact with support please let me know. I am a lifelong Canon customer and very frustrated with this situation.
